Eddie feels that his relationship with Catherine has been isolated thus to prevent her from leaving in a fast stunning of kissing her. As Rodolfo meddles Eddie winds up kissing Rodolfo too. This is a sign wherein Eddie attempts to outline that there is no contrast between kissing a lady and Rodolfo which what's more uncovers him as female. In an early scene Eddie obviously says I mean he looked so sweet there, similar to a holy messenger you could kiss him he was so sweet! this relates and closes to Eddies kiss scene with Rodolfo. This brings out Eddies female side and demonstrated his concealed genuine sentiments to Rodolfo. I don't think Eddies activities were an approach to affront him yet were blended explanations behind his responses. By and by his activities were to demonstrate his point that Rodolfo was gay. In any case, rather than demonstrating this he remembers himself for demonstrating that he also is gay. This progressions the perspective on character of Eddie. As it can some way or another characterize the way Eddie doesn't need Catherine to be with Rodolfo. Implying that he a has at long last indicated his actual feelings towards Catherines future spouse. As the strain develops Eddie realizes he has harmed the relationship with his niece, proof that Eddie was grieved as Alfieri depicts his eyes resembled burrows utilizing a metaphor on the irritated look all over. He discloses to Alfieri that the person aint right. I think the motivation behind why he conflicts with his general public and advises in light of the fact that he is a casualty of his feelings. As all the feelings blending, he encounters being constrained into conflicting with his family. This additionally interfaces onto the main Greek disaster on the Italian kid who betrayed his folks for selling out them. Designing A Large E Commerce Transformation Project

As I grew from a developer to technology lead to Project Manager, I have started to appreciate each methodology for its own strength and weakness. Below are the strength and weakness of individual methodology that I concur based on experience. When we implemented a large E-commerce transformation project that requires the application to be ported from one platform to another, we followed waterfall methodology. Since it was replication of the same functionality, the requirements were very well documented and available, hence waterfall fit into the project execution. We also had a must meet timeline that is non-negotiable with well-defined team structure. The Boston Massacre Essay Example For Students

The Boston Massacre Essay This period in American history is one that is labeled as a time of change. Change for the American people as a whole and a change in the control of the British government. From the time of the first voyages across the Atlantic to the beginning of the quest for independence, people in this land were, even sometimes unconsciously, beginning to gain a sense of self-motivation and loyalty to those around them that had accompanied them into this New World. The people had gained almost a new identity; one that strayed drastically from the places in which they had came from. This feeling is one that could be labeled as American Patriotism. This patriotism would make these people eventually stand up for what they believed to be an injustice done unto them by a higher power and make them fight for their right to live freely in the way that best suited them. Not in a way that best suited the King of England some thousand miles away. The events that led up to the American Revolution are all said to have sparked the Colonists into battle in one way or another. Many events had greater significance than others; one such event would be the Boston Massacre. The Boston Massacre was in some ways a turning point in the minds of the American colonists in their thoughts on the British. But why was the Boston Massacre such a turning point for the Colonists? To answer this question one must look at the events that lead to the Boston Massacre to fully understand the state of mind that the colonists were in. Since the end of the Seven Years War against the French, the British had gone into a great burden of debt. England finally confronted the matter when it appointed George Greenville to Prime Minister in 1763. Facing a debt that had nearly doubled since 1754, from 73 million pounds to 137 million pounds, Greenville had to find new ways to gain funds without taxing the already heavily taxed English people.1 Greenville assessed the situation and determined that since the colonists had been a major beneficiary of the war time expenditures that the Americans should be the ones to pay a greater share of the cost for running the empire.2The question did not dawn on Greenville to think about the justice of taxing the Colonists. Greenville created and proposed a couple of different laws that were designed to tax the Colonists in order for Parliament to gain funds. The first act that was passed by the British Government was the Sugar Act. This act, passed by parliament in 1764, laid down tariff s on certain imports such as molasses and sugar. This alarmed the Colonists. It was the first act that was specifically designed to raise taxes, not just to channel trade through Britain. The Sugar Act was imposed on the colonists during a time of postwar depression.3This made the Colonist even more worried and aware of Britains impending power over them. The next act that Britain imposed over the Colonist was the Stamp Act. This act required stamp taxes to be put on most legal documents and printed material. Colonists had to pay the tax if they wanted to buy a newspaper or even needed a will drawn up. Taxes were even charged to those who bought things such as playing cards and paper. This act hurt many colonists. The heaviest burden though fell on businessmen who used more legal documents than most ordinary people. Never before had a revenue measure of such scope been proposed for the colonies. The act also required that tax stamps be paid in sterling, which was scarce.4The Stamp Act immediately fell under close scrutiny of the Colonists. One of the more notable pamphlets protesting the Stamp Act was, The Rights of the British Colonies Asserted and Proved, written by James Otis Jr., an attorney from Massachusetts. This pamphlet looked at the ideas of James Otis Jr. and stated his thoughts that Americans were entitled to all the natura l, essential, inherent, and inseparable rights that the British people had, including the right not to be taxed without consent. Otis also stated along with many other people in the colonies during that time that Parliament should not be allowed to tax the Colonies because they were not represented in Parliament.5Another protester of the Stamp act was Patrick Henry who stated to the American people, No taxation without representation. This put Parliament under extreme pressure. Colonial legislature petitioned Parliament to repeal the act along with The Stamp Act Congress and the Sons of Liberty. Mass meeting were held in order to gain favorable movement against the act and delegates were sent an intercolonial congress.6 Under so much opposition, Parliament repealed the Stamp Act in 1766. The Colonists were joyous that the Stamp Act was repealed but knew that the British were still going to tax them. They saw that the British had passed other acts that raised taxes, such as the Towns hend, Declaratory, and Coercive Acts. Another act that outraged the Colonists was the Quartering act. This act gave the right for British troops to be quartered in the homes of the colonists against their consent. All of these acts along had made the feelings in the colonist grow more towards hostility and rebellion more than ever before. This assumption makes it easy to understand why the colonist acted in such ways as they did. It led to such events as the Boston Tea Party and The Boston Massacre. .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a , .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a .postImageUrl , .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a , .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a:hover , .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a:visited , .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a:active { border:0!important; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a:active , .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u53781bd6506aa51c925db67da942c67a:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Free Persuasives: Media Bias in the Stem Cel EssayThe Boston Massacre, as it was labeled, took place on the fifth day of March in 1770. Why did so many people commune at the Customs House? These questions were looked at during Captain Prestons trial and since to determine the actual guilt of these soldiers. Loyal Britons concluded that the fire bells rang as a signal to inform the towns people to attack the guards. Captain Preston stated in his trial that the towns people, in order to carry matters to the utmost length, broke into two meeting houses, and rang the alarm bells, which I supposed was for fire as usual, but was soon undeceived. About nine some of the guard came to and informed me, the town inhabitants were assembling to attack the troops, and that the and that the bells were ringing as a symbol for that purpose, and not for fire.10 This assumption by Preston is that his Regiment was f orced to fire on the crowd. Other testimonies though gave opposition to this theory. A black servant, known as Andrew, gave his account at the trial. I met my acquaintance at the bottom of school street holding his arm. He said the soldiers had begun to fight and were killing everybody. One had struck him with a cutlass and almost cut off his arm..I went to the corner and seven or eight men came out. We were in line with an officer before em, with a sword in his hand, a laced hat on, and a red coat, and I remember silver on his shoulder. They then filed and went to the Customs House. The men seemed to be in great rageI went from hence to try to get to the Customs House and get through the people..I heard the grenadier who stood next the corner say damn your blood stand off, or back..I saw the Grenadier attempt to stick him with his bayonet. There was a bustle. The stout man had still hold of the bayonet. After the mulatto was killed I took him to be that man.11 Andrew gets the point across that it was the soldiers that were to be at fault. .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 , .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 .postImageUrl , .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 , .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51:hover , .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51:visited , .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51:active { border:0!important; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51:active , .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51 .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u302872995bd9ded83ac883f0169a3b51:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Maggie's role in Hobson's choice EssayIn the end only two of the soldiers that were tried were committed. Pope Point Evidence Explanation free essay sample

Jessie Pope creates an image of the war as a game in her poem. This is apparent in the first line, Whos for the game, the biggest thats played. In this line she is referring to the Great War as a game that is being played. This has the effect of toning down the severity of the War by implying that the War is merely a game and everyone should join in the fun. She is asking her readers if they would like to join and creates a sense of excitement and enthusiasm that would have the effect Of encouraging the men to sign up.The use Of the privative biggest implies that no other game can compare to this one and also emphasizes the grandeur and scale of it. It would also lead men to believe that everyone is playing in the game which would help to persuade them to be a part of it and ultimately sign up for the War. Communication eassy 6 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Communication eassy 6 - Essay Example Capitalistic marketing was quick to pick up on the influence that images could have to connect people to their products and reach the emerging mass market. Napoleon is credited with saying that, "A good sketch is better than a long speech" (Bonaparte). If this has been translated to mean that a picture is worth a thousand words, then a photograph is worth a million. A photograph accurately portrays an entire scene and gives the viewer the background, the context, and the emotion of the subject. Pictures can explain a scene or a situation in a way that defies description. The citizenry could not have understood the magnitude of the Civil War without the photography of Matthew Brady and Alexander Gardner. Their photos brought the war to the mind of the people and connected them to the event in a way that words could not describe. When Brady displayed his photographs of the dead at Antietam the New York Times noted that mere words were like a funeral next door. However, they solemnly noted that, "Mr. Brady has dome something to bring home to us the terrible reality and earnestness of war. If he has not brought bodies and laid them in our dooryards and along the streets, he has done something very like it" (Bradys Photographs 5). Photographs brought the war home and into the consciousness of the American psyche. In addition to being able to bring reality to a story or an event, photography has the ability to do it instantly. It also requires very little effort on the part of the audience. It takes patience, time, and concentration to adequately digest a thousand words, but one photograph of a Great Depression era soup line tells volumes about the desperation that pervaded the cities. We could understand the suffering of the poverty and feel the hunger of Appalachia. The Dust Bowl was made more real and palatable. We could experience all

Greek Mythology Essay Essay Example for Free

Greek Mythology Essay Essay There are many similarities and differences between Greek myths and what Genesis says. One example is the creation of man and the universe. Another example is how the first woman was created and what she was meant for. The last example is the Greek’s account of the flood compared to the Genesis account. The universe was created by thunder according to Greek myth. But in reality it was created by the voice of God saying in Genesis, Let there be, and it was. The word of God was distorted in the Greek myth by saying everything was created with thunder when really Gods voice was like thunder as it says in Job 40:9 Do you have an arm like Gods, and can your voice thunder like his?. Over time, the bible saying Gods voice sounds like thunder may have been perceived as just thunder in the Greek account. This is what may have caused the Greek myths of creation to become so distorted. There are also some similarities and differences between the Genesis and Greek account of the creation of woman. The first woman, Eve, was created out of Adams rib as Genesis says in chapter 20 verse 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. Genises also states that Eve was a gift from God to Adam, however, the Greek account states that the first woman, Pandora, was a punishment by God. These are just some of the distortions between the Genises account and the Greek myth. There are many similarities and differences between what the Genises account states and what the Greek account states about the flood. In the Greek account, Zues got angry at the world because of humanitys sins and wanted to destroy it. He was going to destroy the world with a thunder bolt when he dicided to flood it instead because otherwise heaven would light on fire. Really God never debated how to destroy the world, he just instantly choose to do it with a flood as it says in Genises 6:17, I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. God told Noah to build an ark and to put all living creatures, male and female, onto the ark for he was going to flood the earth. However, in the  Greek account Zues never warned humanity of the flood, he just had Posiden flood it and Hades create earthquakes. Two humans found refuge on a mountain that the waters didnt reach. These are just some examples of the distortions between Greek myth and the Genises account. In conclusion, the Greek account of the creation of man, how the first woman was created and what she was meant for, and their account of the flood compared to the Genises account all have many similarities and differences. One thing that may have caused these distortions of the Genises account is the bibles use of figurative language and people perceiving it the wrong way.

The History of Sex in the Media and Present Day Implications Essay

When I was first given this assignment it made me a bit uneasy. I was nervous about writing an extended essay on one particular topic. Being that there are so many social issues that need to be brought to light I was having a little trouble sticking to just one. However, with some guidance and encouragement I decided to finally settle with the issue of sex in the media. Within this extended essay I will attempt to shine light on the history of sex in advertisement and examples of different ads, prove sex sells any and everything, the role the media plays in our youth’s lives and creates hyperactive sexual development in children between thirteen and seventeen years old and how the media degrade women and associate them as mere objects. I will also provide various definitions of sex in the media, visual representation of gratuitous exposure in the media, statistics and interviews by people who support my position and oppose it. Gratuitous sexual publicity in the media is destroying our children’s youth. Which is the primary reason for my selection on this topic. I have witnessed the effects of television, music, cartoons, movies and video games on youths in my community, even in my own home. My little sister who is about 13 years old has grown up way faster than I did when I was her age, as well as my 14-year-old cousin who can already have a full conversation about sex. When asked where does she learn it from her reply is simply, television. It frightens me that they can comprehend the concept of sex and how it is done easily, but is naive about the consequences and aftermath of its actions. It angers me that the media does not tell both sides of the story; they flaunt sex, yet they do not advise you about protection and how it... ...men becomes one of a passive and vulnerable person, rather than one who is assertive and in charge. She is illustrated with her finger in her mouth and looking timidly to the side or downward. This is NOT an image of power nor respect. However the way a man is depicted in the media is quite opposite. Men are most often shown in an active posture: legs apart, firmly on the ground with his chest poked out and his arms crossed. If they are not standing they are doing something active or taking hold of a passive woman. Women are typically â€Å"broken up† in the media majority of the time. In those cases, it is not just a full figured woman on display, but rather her legs, butt, stomach or breast. One Guess Eyewear ad has a man’s head resting on a woman’s torso. While her breasts are visible, her head is not. Skyy Vodka continually uses women’s legs in their advertisements

ECCB & Property Development in Malaysia Essay

Marketers are either directly or indirectly involved in the efforts to promote environmentally conscious behavior amongst the consumers with a view to addressing the global concerns about the global warming (Rauschelbach, 2002). Governments have come up with various policies on climate change that companies and corporations, both national and multinational, must comply with. Consumers in Malaysia and other countries have started being environment conscious by consuming environmentally friendly products (Woolley & Kimmins). The environmentally conscious consumer behavior is a way the consumers ensure that environment around them is preserved, especially in view of escalating challenges of garbage disposal and depletion of the available natural resources. It is important to note that consumers are involved in environmentally conscious consumption because they have acknowledged personal responsibility for the environmental pollution problem (Hoyer, 2008). The influence on consumers to adopt the approach of environmentally friendly consumption has been enhanced by media campaigns organized by various stakeholders in collaboration with relevant government institutions. Producing and supplying environmentally friendly products is one of the effective selling points for most corporations all over the world. This paper will therefore discuss ways in which property development companies can target and then position themselves into the growing market arising from Environmentally Conscious Consumer Behavior in Malaysia. How property development companies can target and then, position themselves into the growing market arising from the ECCB in Malaysia Producing eco-friendly products is one of the most important promotional points for the 21st century corporations. This is facilitated by the fact that most product consumers in Malaysia are increasingly becoming aware of the need to conserve the environment, especially with respect to climate change; and the trend is the same all over the world. Consequently, this has resulted into a market where consumers are more drawn to environmentally friendly products than ever. Going by the statistics provided by the United Nations Environmental Programme (2007) property developments industry contributes approximately 30%-40% of the total global carbon dioxide emission arising from energy consumption. Coupled with the market arising from Environmentally Conscious Consumer Behavior, the property development sector is forced to reconsider the products it avails to the consumers in the property market. There are arrange of options available to the property developers in Malaysia that can enable them to target and position themselves in the Malaysian market arising from Environmentally Conscious Consumer Behavior. It is important to note that consumers are increasingly becoming concerned about global warming and one way through which they can effective participate is by holding producers accountable to global warming paying attention to whether the production process leads to increased greenhouse gas emissions (Fischer & Black, 1995). One of the ways through which the property development companies in Malaysia can use to target and position themselves in Malaysian market is reducing energy usage for the property in offer. The companies can ensure the lighting systems in their property utilize more environmental friendly energy sources. For instance, they can face out the use of traditional incandescent bulbs and replace them with compact fluorescent lighting tubes (Kelly, 2009). It is also crucial to note that a larger percentage of energy consumptions take place during the period buildings are in use than during the construction process. The energy usage during the life time of a building, energy usage may include heating, ventilation, cooling and lighting amongst other energy using appliances. In order to target and position themselves in the Malaysian property market, the companies can adopt the use of the most advanced technologies like thermal insulation, utilize solar shading and also fit their property with energy efficient appliances (Kelly, 2009). The Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) came up with a labeling program in which products are verified as environmentally friendly. The property companies ensure that they purchase their fittings from such suppliers whose products are genuinely labeled as environment friendly; this should be informed by the fact that as many of Malaysian consumers as possible are becoming aware of the labeling programme and hence are cautious with their consumption behavior. Besides, this can be reinforced by engaging more in environmental campaigns to convince the consumers that they seriously committed to the conservation of environment and its resources (Abdullah, 1999). The materials used in constructing property are very crucial in terms of environmental concerns. The property companies should use non-toxic construction materials that do not contain chemicals and substances like mercury and the in the process of marketing they should emphasize on such characteristics. Moreover, it is important to note that environment conservation groups are slowly increasing in number; these groups have attracted the attention of the advertising firms. It is of great benefit for property companies in Malaysia to use these groups and or advertise through the firms that have strong link with such groups (Wells, 2007). Disposal of household wastes are an important component of environmental conservation. Property companies should ensure that their buildings are equipped with safe, efficient and eco-friendly means of disposing wastes. This may include mobile waste bins which can be emptied in a track and waste transported to appropriate places. In addition to this, the sewerage systems should also encourage hygiene and have no health risks which are some of the major concerns for most consumers (Snyder, 2000). There are also a number of activities that companies can initiate and support amongst the Malaysian communities. They can fund eco-friendly initiatives like planting of trees and facilitating research towards finding alternative energy sources. Again, the companies can ensure that their property is located in a clean neighborhood. This has the potential to attract more of the Environmentally Conscious Consumers (ECC). Conclusion Environmentally Conscious Consumer Behavior has had significant effects on how property companies strategize on penetrating the market. The companies have to ensure their products are environmentally friendly so as to attract the Malaysian property buyers. However, there are range strategies that can assist the companies in targeting and positioning themselves in the Malaysian property market where consumers are increasing getting concerned with the conservation of environment. When the buildings are constructed with harmless materials which do not contain chemicals and substances like mercury, the companies are highly likely to get more buyers. Moreover, with label identity policy for eco-friendly products in Malaysia, most consumers will check on such labels before finally making purchase. It is therefore imperative that property companies should partner with such suppliers whose products meet the labeling standards (Abdullah, 1999). The companies can also ensure that lighting systems in their property are energy efficient. Instead of using the traditional lighting bulbs like incandescent, the companies can fit their buildings with energy efficient fluorescent tubes (Kelly, 2009). Besides, they can also support environment conservation initiatives in communities; this can also include using advertising firms that have strong links with environment conservation groups. Analysis Of The Poem Lady Lazarus - 975 Words

In the poem Lady Lazarus, there are many images that invoke the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. The encounters that Lady Lazarus had with death both accidental and intentional resonates a dark and grim tone throughout the poem. Looking at the lines four and five, she makes a reference to the lampshades that were made out of the skin of slaughtered Jews by the Nazis. With this reference she wants readers to make that connection between her and the Holocaust victims. As we go down to lines ten through fifteen, she tells the readers to peel off the napkin referring to the white sheet used to cover corpses to view her face. She also describes herself having eye pits instead of eyes and stinking sour breath. With those references, I interpret that as although technically she is alive, her body is almost dead. We get more of the gruesomeness of the speaker coming back to life in lines sixteen through eighteen Lady Lazarus states that the â€Å"grave cave†, which is sym bolism of death, ate the flesh that was on her within her home. In line twenty one, she briefly compares herself to having the nine lives of a cat through a simile but in a much grimmer version by saying she has nine times to die. When Lady Lazarus refers to annihilating â€Å"a trash† in lines twenty three to twenty four, my interpretation of that statement is that she is speaking about death. Once a decade she comes close to dying. In effect, she is calling her life, otherwise referred to her body as aShow MoreRelatedPoem Analysis of Lady Lazarus by Sylvia Plath3011 Words   |  13 PagesPoem Analysis: Lady Lazarus In American culture, suicide is considered to be one of the darkest taboos.
